Does the free eSIM work on the Paris Métro?
Lines 1, 4 and 14 are fully covered with in-tunnel antennas, so 4G stays alive between stations. Older lines (3 bis, 7 bis, 10) still drop briefly — most reconnections land within 1-2 stations.
Will it work on the TGV?
Yes. SNCF + Orange completed trackside coverage on LGV Est, LGV Atlantique and LGV Sud-Est by 2020, so you get steady 4G at 300 km/h. Expect short outages in older Sologne tunnels — typically under 90 seconds.
Does it work in Corsica and Monaco?
Corsica is treated as domestic France and the eSIM works on Orange there. Monaco uses Monaco Telecom; because Monaco isn’t in the EU roaming zone, the free plan does not cover it.
Do I need a French address to use it?
No — that’s the whole point of an eSIM. A physical Orange or SFR SIM needs ID and a justificatif de domicile; the eSIM is a digital profile and bypasses both.
